WROUGHT IRON PERGOLA

Godspeed be with the individual who had to fabricate this piece.  Doing the 3D math did my head in, but we got it.  This pergola managed several corner conditions, the most complex of which had to accommodate flow along both North-South and East-West axes.  At this corner, the diagonal arcs had a different curvature than the orthogonal ones.  The craftspersonship had to be precise enough such that the arcs could receive each rod purlin along the curve.  The geometry of this pergola, done in with AutoCAD's fairly primitive 3D tools, was tremendous fun to figure out.
